when I first posted this the only comment I had in this section was that what you see above the "updates" text... nothing more... everything below this point has been added as a response to the opposition I've received since the day I posted it.
I'm not sure why this image has caused quite the stir it has while other images of Homosexual kissing found all over have not.
Know this... You WILL NOT break me! I will not bend to the demands of someone who thinks that Homosexuality is wrong and/or Immoral and should not be as openly expressed as heterosexuality is. If you want to try and have this image removed or censored... BRING IT ON! Others have tried and failed... you will too... Your opposition only strengthens my resolve.

I'm not going to call this an "attempt" since it happened to a club posting and not the original, but from the actions taken, the outcome would have effected this posting as well... anyway here are the details:

After submitting this image to =dapride it received some comments that it should be marked as "Mature Content" to which they responded by marking the club post as such. I protested, citing that they have several other images of homosexual kissing that do not have a "mature content tag" a member of the staff told me that the decision to mark it as mature was based on the comments they had received and not the the content of the work it self. they eventually removed the image from their gallery due to the issue (a move that the GM of the club was dis-pleased with)

while I cannot control the thoughts and views that people who choose to comment on my work may have, a mature content tagging should be based on the CONTENT of the work and not the comments it receives.

=dapride and I both submitted inquiries to the deviantART Help Desk about this piece, to which I received a reply from $y2jenn that stated (and I quote):

"I had spoken to the club owner and told them that the image wasn't in need of a mature tag."

So, with the Support of 's administration, I have re-submitted it to the club for posting WITHOUT a mature content tag. I'll post an updated link to it as soon as they re-post it.

as a final note, I bare no ill will towards =dapride and I understand that their actions were only to protect the club. I'm sorry that this had to be as drawn out as it got and involve so many members of the club's management staff as it did. I am proud to be a member of that group, and I look forward to a peaceful future within the group... I post the details of it here not to gloat over my success, but as an example of how far I will go to ensure that Homosexual expression should be as acceptable in our culture as Heterosexuality, and not have to be hidden behind some Mature Content tag.

Hidden Comments Update

I hid all the comment's by [a member who will go nameless] and blocked him, I was tired of him constantly referring to homosexuals as unnatural, and equating homosexuality with bestiality and genetically deformed cats. while i can appreciate a good civil debate with just about anyone, this guy failed to support any of his arguments with fact and started to use this posting as a forum to engage supporters of my work (and/or homosexuality) in debates.

I'm not fond of blocking people, (to date I've only blocked 2 people) but this guy had gone to far... I warned him not to, but still he pushed... so i had to drop the hammer.
